How to Add an Email Account to Outlook.com

If you’d like to use your Outlook.com account to send and receive messages for an email account that’s hosted on HostM, use the following steps:

  1. Ensure that you have already created the desired email account in your hosting account’s cPanel.

  2. Sign in to your HostM hosting account’s cPanel.

    Your cPanel access details are listed on the hosting account’s Info page in the Client Lounge.

  3. Under the Email header, click the Forwarders icon.

  4. Make sure the email address you’re wanting to add to Outlook.com is not listed as forwarding email to your Outlook.com address.

    If you find such an email forwarder listed, delete the forwarder.

  5. Visit the Outlook.com website using a web browser, then sign in to your Outlook.com account.

  6. Click the gear icon, then click Options, then Connected accounts.

  7. Select Other email accounts.

  8. Enter the following details:

    • Display Name: (The name you wish to appear in the From field)

    • Email address: (Full email address of the email account)

    • Password: (Password of the email account)

  9. Click OK to finish.

You should now be able to use your Outlook.com account to send and receive messages for your newly-added email account!
