How to Add an FTP Account to Core FTP
Note: At the time of this writing, Core FTP does not support TLS 1.2, the currently recommended TLS protocol, and as such may not be able to connect. To resolve this issue, we recommend using an FTP app that’s in active development, such as FileZilla until Core FTP is able to support TLS 1.2.
To add an FTP account to Core FTP:
Open Core FTP.
Visit Sites > Site Manager and create or edit your site profile as follows:
Site Name: (Same as Host / IP / URL below)
Host / IP / URL: (Listed on your hosting account’s Info page)
Username: (Your cPanel username)
Anonymous: Off
Password: (Your cPanel password)
Don’t save password: Off
Port: 21
Connection: AUTH TLS
Click the Advanced button next to Host / IP / URL:
Directory/Folder in left-hand column
Remote Start Folder: public_html
SSL/TLS in left-hand column
Allow session reuse: On
Click the OK button to save your settings.
Click the Connect button.
Core FTP should now be securely connected to your FTP account!
and Linux friendly!
It’s fast, easy and secure.
