How to Whitelist an Email Sender

To whitelist an email sender so that messages with their email address in the ‘From’ field don’t get accidentally filtered into the Junk folder:

  1. Sign in to your HostM hosting account’s cPanel.

Your cPanel access details are listed on the hosting account’s Info page in the Client Lounge.

  2. Under the Email heading, click Spam Filters.

  3. Click Show Additional Configurations.

  4. Click Edit Spam Whitelist Settings.

  5. Click Add a new “whitelist_from” item.

  6. Enter the email address that you’d like to whitelist in the blank box that appears.

Note: If you would like to whitelist an entire domain, you can enter *@example.com (replacing example.com with the actual domain) as the email address.

  7. Click Update Whitelist (whitelist_from) to save your settings.

Your new whitelist entry affects messages received after the entry is created. It does not affect existing emails from the sender that may already be in the Junk folder.

You may manually move an existing email from the Junk folder to the Inbox where desired. Keep in mind that emails in the Junk and Trash folders that are over 30 days old are automatically removed by the system.
