How to Remove a WordPress Site from a Domain

To remove a WordPress site from a domain in your HostM hosting account:

  1. Sign in to the Client Lounge.

  2. In the list of hosting accounts, select the cPanel button for the hosting account you wish to host your domain on.

  3. Under the Software section, select Softaculous Apps Installer.

  4. In the WordPress box, select the Overview button.

  5. You’ll see a list of WordPress sites on your hosting account. Locate the one that you wish to delete.

  6. Select the red Trash icon for the WordPress site that you wish to remove.

Be careful not to select the Trash icon for an incorrect WordPress site!

  7. Ensure the Remove Directory, Remove Database, and Remove Database User checkboxes are all selected. They should already be selected by default.

  8. Select the blue Remove Installation button and wait for the process to complete.

  9. If you also wish to remove the domain or subdomain from the hosting account, visit the Addon Domains or Subdomains section in cPanel to do so.

Your WordPress site is now removed from your hosting account.
