How to Install LiteSpeed Cache Plugin on Your WordPress Site

LiteSpeed Cache Plugin for WordPress accelerates your WordPress site by having LiteSpeed Web Server cache your pages, speeding up the time taken for each page to load.

Because LiteSpeed Cache Plugin for WordPress takes advantage of the LSCache technology built directly into LiteSpeed Web Server, it significantly reduces overhead and is more efficient than the usual PHP-based caching plugins.

It’s easy to get up and running with the FREE LiteSpeed Cache Plugin, which can be installed on any WordPress site in your HostM account:

  1. Sign in to your WordPress admin dashboard.

  2. In the left column, hover over Plugins, then click Installed Plugins.

  3. Your full list of installed plugins should appear. If you find any non-LiteSpeed cache-related plugins in the list, click Deactivate for each of them, to avoid unnecessary complications.

  4. In the left column, under Plugins, click Add New.

  5. In the Search Plugins box, enter LiteSpeed Cache, then wait a couple of seconds.

  6. The list of plugins should refresh, with LiteSpeed Cache being one of the top results. Click the Install Now button for that entry.

  7. Wait for the installation to complete, then click the blue Activate button.

  8. In the left sidebar, select LiteSpeed Cache > Presets.

  9. As a starting point, under Advanced (Recommended), select Apply Preset.

  10. In the left sidebar, select LiteSpeed Cache > General.

  11. If the Domain Key field is blank:

    • Click the Request Domain Key button next to the field

    • Wait 30-60 seconds

    • Refresh the page. The field should no longer be blank. If it remains blank, wait a little while longer and refresh the page again, until the field is no longer blank.

  12. In the left sidebar, select LiteSpeed Cache > Cache.

  13. Select the [6] Object tab at the top of the page.

  14. Near the top of the page, select On for Object Cache to enable the object cache.

  15. Select the Save Changes button in the top right.

Important: Enabling QUIC.cloud CDN (optional)

If you would like to optionally use the QUIC.cloud CDN, please be sure to enable it using the CNAME pointing method.

Be careful not to utilize the Automatic Setup method, as it involves the changing of the domain’s nameservers away from HostM, which can cause unnecessary issues.

All domains hosted on our network must use the correct nameservers as supplied directly by HostM, to ensure that all functionalities work optimally.

Congratulations, your WordPress site is now being accelerated using the LiteSpeed Cache Plugin. Enjoy!
