How to Add an FTP Account to WS_FTP

To add an FTP account to WS_FTP:

1. Open WS_FTP.

2. Visit Connections > Site Manager and create or edit your site profile as follows:

   Host Info in left column

   • Site Name: (Same as Host name below)

   • Host name: (Listed on your hosting account’s Info page)

   • UserID: (Your cPanel username)

   • Password: (Your cPanel password)

   • Save password: On

   • Account: (Leave blank)

   • Save acciybt: Off

   Startup in left column

   • Remote site folder: public_html

   Advanced in left column

   • Server type: FTP/SSL (AUTH SSL)

   • Use Passive mode for data connections: On

   • Remote port (usually 21): 21

   SSL in left column

   • Client certificate: NONE

   • Reuse SSL Session: On

3. Click the OK button.

4. Click the Connect button.

WS_FTP should now be securely connected to your FTP account!
