| After you register a new domain name or modify the nameservers of the domain name to point to HostM.com's nameservers, it typically takes between 24 and 72 hours for the information on the domain name to propagate to all the root DNS servers. It takes some time to propagate to other databases. This is called the "propagation" period.
During the propagation, if your domain name was hosted at another hosting company before moving it to us, some people will access your site located at the old hosting company, while other people may access your site located at HostM.com.
The registry only updates the zone files from their database once every 12 hours, and as domain sales increase, so does the queue. VeriSign Global Registry updates at 5:00 am and 5:00 pm EST.
Please know this is under the control of the registry, and we does not have any abilities to make this happen faster. |
