| There are 4 types of contacts - billing, registrant, administrative, and technical.
Billing Contact
The person responsible for the payment aspects of a domain registered with us. All correspondence associated with payments in relation to the domain will be sent to the Billing Contact e-mail address.
Registrant Contact
The Registrant Contact is the effective "owner" of the domain, although domains are never owned but actually "leased" for the duration of the registration period. In many cases, the Registrant and Administrative Contacts will be the same person, although the registrant of many domains, such as big corporations, may have separate people managing, i.e. being the administrative contact, for a number of domains.
Administrative Contact
The person responsible for the administrative duties of a domain name registered with us. All correspondence reference contact details and certain changes to the domain will be sent to the Administrative Contact e-mail address.
Technical Contact
The person responsible for handling the technical aspects of a domain registered with us. This could include assigning the name servers for a registered domain.
You can have one contact for all the different types of contacts (Registrant, Administrative, Billing and Technical) if you like. You need to add a new contact first via "My Contacts", then go back to "My Domains" and choose different contacts for different domains. |
